The 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 1550 is a refined example of vintage Rolex, combining classic proportions with the warm tones of its 34mm gold-plated case and domed gold bezel.

Its elegant platinum pearl-coloured dial creates a distinctive contrast against the gold case, while the highly regarded automatic Calibre 1570 provides the robust and reliable performance for which vintage Rolex movements are renowned.

Finished on a premium brown leather strap with a Rolex buckle, the watch is presented with both Rolex boxes and original swing tags. A beautifully preserved vintage Rolex combining timeless styling, excellent provenance and enduring collector appeal.

Things to consider:

The watches we sell are all either Manual or Automatic movements. Knowing this is an important aspect of your purchase, as the movement type defines how the watch will run. Check out the above description to confirm the movement type, then head to the "So What Now?" section of our site for further information on movements; advice on looking after your vintage watch; and answers to some more frequently asked questions!

Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, their age means that 100% waterproofing cannot be guaranteed.
