The 1979 Rolex Datejust ref. 1601 is a superb example of classic vintage Rolex, combining timeless proportions with a distinctive two-tone aesthetic.

Its beautifully proportioned 36mm stainless steel case is complemented by an 18k yellow gold bezel and an uncommon bi-metal Oyster bracelet, creating a refined and elegant appearance. The striking slate grey dial adds depth and character, while the highly regarded automatic Calibre 1570 delivers the reliability and mechanical pedigree synonymous with vintage Rolex.

The watches we sell are all either Manual or Automatic movements. Knowing this is an important aspect of your purchase, as the movement type defines how the watch will run. Check out the above description to confirm the movement type, then head to the "So What Now?" section of our site for further information on movements; advice on looking after your vintage watch; and answers to some more frequently asked questions!

Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, their age means that 100% waterproofing cannot be guaranteed.
